I worked with Andy at Lincolnshire General Finance in the mid 60s, he was a real character and a gentleman. He would call on car sales garages to get their HP business, one day he was in the Retford area, he was cut up by another motorist so he stopped him and had a word with him. Later that day we had a call from the police to say that the driver of his car had posed as a police officer and he was warned not to do it again. He is an unforgettable character not just because he was probably one of LCFC best players but because he was a genuinely nice person. He continued to scout for LCFC.
