I worked with a homeless man today. We got to talking about life, family, etc... I told him that someone very dear to me was going through some hard times, and with very limited knowledge on this individuals history he says They are just missin some parts. I asked what he meant and he said really slow Missin. Some. Parts. Then he goes on They arent bad, they are just missin some parts, something is void, there are holes there that need to be filled We carried on a while and he leans over like he is about to tell me the secret to life (which he does) and he says God is the only thing that can fill up those holes. We always try to fill them up with things that dont matter... gotta fill em up with God. Ive thought about this all day, along with how smart I am. (The last part was sarcasm btw.) Knowing something and coming to realize it are two different things. I dont know why this man crossed paths with me, but I am sure thankful that he did.
