I would also like to leave you with three quick passages to help you to be more effective the next time you approach the throne of grace. 1 Peter 3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers. -NIV Men, God cares about how we treat our wives, and so do they. In fact how you treat your wife can interfere with your prayer life. Be considerate and respectful to her and not only will your married life prosper but so will your prayer life. Its a win-win! James 1:5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. -NIV I realize that this passage is referring to prayer, but look what it says about the principle of the matter in verse 7. When you pray about something have faith and be committed. Dont doubt or change your mind. If you pray for something one day dont undermine your prayers the next day by doubting or changing your mind and praying for something that conflicts with the first prayer. It might be that God is just taking His time because of your relationship with your wife.
