I would appreciate it greatly, if Telstra investigate this matter, - TopicsExpress

I would appreciate it greatly, if Telstra investigate this matter, as it would be in Telstras best interest to resolve the matter swiftly and effectively, saving the task of me referring this matter to the Telecommunication Industry Ombudsman. I would also appreciate, if Telstra staff refrain from speeches on fire risks, as fire is only one of many risks, of living in a country setting, as I do. Is it also, Telstras standard advice to customers requesting a fixed line, to keep a battery operated radio for emergencies? Furthermore, I asked of an Optus salesperson, the very same questions posed to the Telstra salesperson. I was informed that Optus will not connect the old line, and there is mobile broadband available to me. Had the Telstra salesperson informed me of this, my choice would have been vastly different. Had Telstra divulged all relevant information to me, enabling me to make a more informed decision, as Optus did, I would have chosen an internet only plan. Considering, that Optus have a far more reasonably priced plan, I would have signed up with Optus. Does this not amount to me being signed up to Telstra under false pretenses? Please inform me of the required information, for Telstra to conduct its own investigation, before I contact the Ombudsman. Thankyou, Richard
