I would give anything to have a real tree,and decorate in the peace of the holiday I love most without being told Christmas is superficial. Why cant the celebration of Christmas just be a joyous peace? You know? Im like Charlie Brown. Give me a tree, a blanket and a bulb and Christmas is what its meant to be. A something you can never put your finger on. A wonderment of a child, like me, looking for the star of David. I didnt look for Santa. I looked for the star. I used to want to be a shepherd or a king or an animal, just so I could see that star. I used to look forward to midnight mass, thinking surely when I got home and looked out my window the star would be there. To this day, I still look for the Star of David. Just like I wander into the woods hoping to find the burning bush. I know. I am strange but still hold tight to who I am. I just love God. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.
