I would just like to set the record straight for what happened last night, I got a reply from the owner of the west house regarding last nights issue regarding the no tattoo policy, which actually had nothing to do with management just the singling out discrimination of the knuckle head dragging moron that refused me entry at his own will , I will be taking it further with the security company involved but as for the west house apology is much appreciated on securigroups behalf......... Hi Carol, My name is Macky, I have met you several times with Irving both in the bar and at his charity events. As the owner of the West House I would like to apologise profusely for last night. The doorman that refused you was from an outside agency and although he was contracted by myself, it was not our usual steward. He is employed by a large, reputable company called Securigroup, he is a licensed, fully trained steward, who I pay a premium for in the understanding that he will be delivering first class customer service. He has let myself and my business down massively and has created a horrendous impression, but most importantly he caused you great offence, this stewarding is completely inexcusable and it will be the last time this company will be used in either of my venues. I will be contacting Securigroup tomorrow asking for a full investigation and demand an apology to you from their office. We have no house rules in regard to tattoos, many of my friends, family, customers, regulars, and even the majority of my staff have tattoos. So in no way do I have any issues with them. I want to make clear Carol this is a sincere apology, written in almost desperation, I have worked along with my whole team very hard to establish The West House as a pub that welcomes everybody and provides all its customers with a relaxed, friendly, non pretentious atmosphere. And in an act of pure ignorance this steward on my front door has jeopardised it all! I cant be more genuine when I say sorry for any offence or upset this has caused you.
