I would just like to take a few minutes to express my gratitude. - TopicsExpress

I would just like to take a few minutes to express my gratitude. Our family accepted a huge challenge this year and I would just like to express my thoughts pertaining to this challenge. In January we were approached and asked if we would be interested in running for Rachelle Frazier for KY State Representative 27th District - Meade/Hardin. Our first reaction was Not us, you got the wrong person! Well, after much (and by much I mean much) prayerful consideration by our family, speaking with our pastors, consulting with other local State Representatives and community leaders in both Meade and Hardin Counties we decided that we would accept this challenge. I can say that my life will never be the same again. During the year we have met so many great people and have created lifetime friendships. Rachelle, Vanessa, and I have always served to better our communities that we lived in throughout our Army travels. I was always the political junky in the family, and my wife was always the faithful servant. We knew many years ago that our calling was the mission field, but we never knew that God was all along preparing us to make a run for State Representative our local mission field. We have made a few mistakes in our journey, but have learned from all of them. Since I was the political junky and God given leader of our household I took on the task of campaign manager. The downward spiral of the United States has always angered me during the last 20+ years. As a Soldier I knew what leadership was supposed to look and act like, yet we as Americans kept putting people into office that didnt have those qualities. Both Republicans and Democrats alike. I knew that Rachelle held these qualities and knew that with Gods help and lots of prayer that we could make a successful run. I can honestly say that we never made a decision without praying first if it was the correct decision. With the knowledge that God and CSM Wildhagen had given me from my last few years in the Army working in the Brigade Headquarters of 16th Cavalry I was well equipped to do all of our campaign materials and design. I designed all of our own signs, banners, push cards, newspaper ads, radio ads, website, mailers, etc. This was such a blessing because we saved so much money and were able to run our campaign on a budget of $25K. We have received no monetary support from the Republican Party or any other outside organization or special interest group. This campaign was paid for BY THE PEOPLE and was run FOR THE PEOPLE. I believe this was exactly what God wanted so that when Rachelle is elected we do not owe allegiance to anybody but THE PEOPLE. I guess my point of this post is just to ask you that before you go to the polls on November 4th, that you take a moment a pray about who is the best candidate for the job. Politics should not be a popularity contest, or an auction to the highest bidder. It is time that WE as Christians take OUR country and Commonwealth back before its to late. The failed leadership in Frankfort has had long enough. We cannot continue to repeat the same mistakes over and over again. Its time to get back to tried and true methods that are proven to work. If we dont do something now then we will have nothing to leave our children or our childrens children. I can honestly say that without any doubt in my mind that Rachelle has the skills necessary to do this job. Some people tend to think that she is not qualified because she doesnt have a piece of paper from a university saying that she is, or because she was not born here. Those are all cop-outs. She has served our community for many years and she knows what the needs of our community are. She lives in a book every free minute she has (unless I ground her from them), which sometimes I do. I you have spoken to her you know that she is well educated. Her heart is true and it is for bettering the lives of the people of the 27th District. I also want to thank in advance all of those who have helped and supported us throughout this campaign. You have been such a blessing to us. We understand the economy that we live in and thank you for entrusting you hard earned money to us. I can say that we have spent every penny of it wisely. We have run a clean campaign that the people can be proud of. Rachelle never attacked our opponents character or lied about his record. Everything we presented was factual and can be researched for yourself at the Kentucky LRC website. I want to lastly and most importantly thank God for his mercy, grace, and his guidance during this campaign. On November 4th I ask you to vote Rachelle Frazier for State Representative. I know she will make you proud. Sorry for the long post :) #VoteSmartVoteFrazier
