I would like to post a forgotten war called a conflict or police action- but 40,000 service members lost their lives in the Korean Conflict. And 130 service members have been killed since the treaty was signed. One individual- doing his duty as a unit medic was killed. Probably forgotten by many but not forgotten by his family and friends that knew him. Terrence Anthony Peterson was a Brainerd kid- sent to Korea as a medic-his unit 1-38 Infantry. While on a routine patrol on the south Korean side of the DMZ- his unit was attacked by ROK north Korean army and Terry was killed in action during an ambush near Libby Bridge 5 August 1968. 4 other service members where also wounded. Terry gave his life for you and I- Never forget!!! Thank a Veteran.
