I would like to publicly make a suggestion... (of course its public, I just posted it on facebook for all to see) ;-) I suggest a facebook page called Town of Saugus - Board of Selectman Facts Page be created (or something like that). This page would contain FACTS ONLY, no hyperbole or conjecture and would address issues point by point. I would also suggest that both a representative from both Take Back Saugus and from Save the B.O.S. acknowledge, or dispute with detailed reasoning, the facts presented on the page. No comments would be allowed; NOT to suppress Freedom of Speech, but to eliminate confusion. Example: the fact that there is/was some confusion with regards to the recall, will former Selectman candidates with over 1,500 votes be sworn in, etc.. That could be answered and BOTH sides would agree to the correct answer. Almost like a Snopes page, perhaps the Daily Item would have a link to it or post their own version; but I doubt that... I feel this is important because sometimes people comment and make HONEST mistakes in their understanding of the process and then its declared that this side or the other side is intentionally misleading, etc. Everyone is talking about coming together and finding common ground, well here is one way, IMHO Thoughts??? PS. Yes, I am a realist, and have little to no hope if this actually coming to fruition, but who knows stranger things have happened...
