I would like to publicly thank my uncle, Thomas Noud and good friend/former classmate Christie Hampshire. They both assisted me with completion of a framework of the Noud family lineage. With their research, I discovered Im only the third generation born in the United States. My great grandfather, Michael arrived in America by way of County Kildare, Ireland. As I understand, you couldnt buy a decent potato back in those times. He came to the new land and settled temporarily in Pennsylvania. He then sent for his future bride, back in Ireland. When she arrived from across the pond they married in Bethlehem PA. The couple migrated west to settle in Kansas with an ox and wagon. Being good Catholics, had 9 children. This settlement is in the same area my grandfather and my dad would go on home. Learning history is awesome when they dont grade you on it.
