I would like to start Autism Awareness Month off by saying huge THANK YOU to those who have encouraged and supported us from the very beginning! I want to first give all Glory, Honor and Praise to God! I BLESS Him for JESUS! At the sound of JESUS name Autism had to bow and this is why Desi is progressing as quickly as she is! Her therapist continually tell us its takes us years to teach a kid this and Desi picks it up immediately! I Thank God for my husband and kids! We are a team when it comes to Desi and it blesses me that her siblings want to be involved in her care too! I thank God for my family both biological and church! They push, encourage and most importantly they WANT to Understand! Im thankful for Her God-Parents they all step up to the plate! Betsy Spring, Sprenita Nash and Torri Rayford each of you love her as if she is your own! Each of you add something so different to her life. Betsy, God set us up! After hearing your conversation last night I said to myself Desi is somebody. God sent you through school and gave you OJT just for her. Keino, I love the way the two of you communicate! LOL! Nita, we stopped being friends a long time ago and became sisters. The day I found out I was pregnant you immediately said Im about to have a god-baby followed by I hope its a girl cause I dont do boys LOL!!! You have taken care of Desi at times when I couldnt and on those days when I am super stressed you let me run away to your house! Torri, words cant express how you just stepped in our lives and brought this huge sense of PEACE! Taty handles Desi better than me sometimes. Deacon Driver and Jackie Driver arent on FB but they love her as much as we do and we are so grateful! Jalisa, Jalia and Jasmane you guys have been some AWESOME Aunts not a Holiday goes by without yall dressing Desi for the occasion or creating some sort of basket. Hardaway Derek YOU ARE THE BEST UNCLE IN THE WORLD!!! Mama Helen Mccoy thank you for being here when I need you. Finally I want to thank each of you! Some of You reached to me because you have children with Autism, many of you prayed for me and all of you have endured my post! Im sure I may have missed someone but know We Love and are grateful for you all!
