I would like to take a moment to give thanks, praise, respect, and recognition to all the "real" fathers this "Fathers Day". Fathers day is not a day for sperm donors who have created life and chosen to walk away from the family they created. But rather it is a day to celebrate those out there who have stuck it out after creation. Fathers day is for the role of either the man or woman who has stepped up to wipe the boogies, change the diapers, and cheer at silly tee ball games. Just being male, and sharing D.N.A Does not entitle one to be considered a father. The mere act of loving and being their for a child is all that separates and defines the difference between a sperm donor and a "Father". So this "Fathers Day" I want to say thank you, and Happy Fathers Day! To all the single moms, the actual fathers, the men and women who step up each and every day. Whether it be to take care of their own flesh and blood, or just the simple love and affection they show a child. So Thanks. Happy Fathers Day to you all out there.
