I would like to take this opportunity to join me in wishing our son, David Paul Nerling a Happy 34th Birthday September 26, 2014!!! It was exactly at this time 34 years ago that I gave birth to my first child- a bouncing baby boy after 20+ hours of labor. He weighed 9# and was nearly 23 long - we knew he was going to be a football player because he has his Grandpas shoulders as his clavicle needed to be broken in order to get him delivered-OUCH-poor baby!! Poor Mommy!! He was a huge, adorable baby - and he is a huge, handsome young man. We are so proud of his accomplishments. He is a Minnesota Highway Patrol (the reason he cant be on Facebook-security protocol); he served full time in the Navy as a Master at Arms training Military Working dogs; he is currently in the Navy Reserves as a Petty Officer/Military Police; he is a wonderful father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, friend, and husband hopeful to put his marriage back together - always optimistic. He has strong faith and as a preteen, sang solos in church - including at his sisters baptism. He enjoys playing volleyball with his Uncle Tom; horseshoes with Dad, Uncles Steve-Dave-Rich-Tom and Ken. He has helped with Willie and been and A+++ mentor. And hes Grandmas #1 Grandson! And, he was the only Grandson to know Grandpa Partch - who would let David steer his houseboat and would call David Poopers. David loves his cousins and Great Aunts and Uncles - Auntie Ida liked to call him Sam. He has fun hanging with the Johnsons! And loved his Uncle Harvey and car races, Uncle Chuck, Auntie Lola and checking out her yard, and he loved his Auntie Ruthie; His special friends at church were/are Jim & Marlene Dombrock and ARLENE MALAK. Arlene-you know how very much David loves you! And Marlene-Gods blessings upon Jim - he was Davids mentor and he will be missed greatly. Sue Meihofer LeMay & Richard Partch (my 53 yr old brother) are Davids godparents). Sorry this has been so long, but since he isnt on Facebook, I thought I would tell you a little about who I am asking you to wish HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! to: THANK YOU & I will share your greetings with him when we have him over for dinner on Sunday late afternoon!!
