I would like to thank Coach Pearson, Hutchinson, Turner, Rappo, Hoffman, Willman, Wolter and Young for their dedication to all of the young men that made up the Hill wrestling team the past six years. My two sons Colin and Chad have been part of the program since 2008. During that time, I have seen steady improvement in all the wrestlers that stayed in the program. From Coach Youngs last year of having 3 National Prep place winners and a 13th place finish to this years 4 place winners and 12th place finish. Although there was some scheduling turbulence during the Young/Pearson transition, it was quickly addressed and corrected. The Hill’s wrestling schedule compares with any high school in the country. These coaches have a vision and it is starting to pay dividends. I can recall when my boys were in youth wrestling seeing Coach Gordon the past coach of Wyoming Seminary looking for young talent to recruit at the youth events. That was 12 or 13 years ago. Coach Green has followed up Coach Gordons work. Wyoming Seminary is now 2014 National Prep Champs. It takes time to build a top high school wrestling program. Hill is on their way towards the goal of becoming a top program once again. Headmaster Lehman has a bright vision for The Hill and I believe having strong student athletes for all Hills sports is part of his vision. Congratulations to this years team for a job well done. Good luck to all the wrestlers returning next year. Work hard and I will see you guys in the top 10 at National Preps next year.
