I would like to thank Jerry Priesgen for setting up an awesome birthday present for me. I got into the pits after being on the hill and my dad told me that Jerry told him that I was going to be in the anthem. So, mildly confused, I lined up for the anthem. They didnt have an American flag for me which I was confused about, but I went with it. They stopped us all on the front stretch and my 2 Army recruiters popped out of the pace truck and handed me a US Army flag. I then proceeded to do the anthem pace lap with the flag. It was really awesome for Jerry and everyone involved to go out of their way to plan something like this and it really means a lot. Thank you everyone! (Thanks Ann Wiese Ross for the pics)
