I would like to thank all of you who are continuing to keep Scott in your prayers. I know that there are many of you lifting him up daily and I sincerely thank you for it. Thank those of you who have called him, texted him, dropped him a facebook message, or stopped by the house. You have no idea how much that lifts his spirits (and mine as well). I know that neither one of us expected to hear the C word when we went to that appointment last Monday. But, we did and now we move forward and fight. The latest update we have is that we go to Vanderbilt on October 13. His local doctor checked with Vanderbilt, Emory, and Duke. That is the first availability and our first choice as well. He will be calling Vanderbilt tomorrow to ask if they an place him on a cancellation list. That will up our chances of going sooner to start this journey. At an appointment on Thursday with another specialist, we were told that the journey to treat the tumor could easily take 10-12 months of pinpoint radiation due to its size and the nature of this type of tumor. So, at this point there is a lot of uncertainty and a whole lot of unanswered questions. Once again, thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers for us.
