I would like to thank each and every one that helped with the Fundraiser for Adrienne Herring Lilley yesterday. First off, we must thank the Good Lord for the Beautiful Day that he gave us. We had Perfect weather for everything that we needed to do and have the great turn out that we had. If I leave anyone out, please accept my apologies, chalk it up to my overtaxed little brain, lol. Robert Lilley, donated his business for 3 days, and many items for Auction, Samantha Selby, no words to express how much we appreciate ALL that you did, it wouldnt have been the success it was without you, Fess Winstead and Jennifer Esham for everything you did from organizing this event to publicizing for it, recruiting help, and everything in between, all of their friends that helped from donating and cooking the pigs, coming out at 12 am to start cooking the pigs, chopping the BBQ and anything else that needed to be done, Belhaven and Washington FoodLions for chicken and a gift card, Terra Cia Meat Farm for their donation, Chris and Larry that work for Ronald Lilley for all of their hard work before, during and after, Mark Respess, a local photographer, for donating three of his framed prints for raffle and auction, Chuck Donohue and his wife, Diane, they donated so very much, and are a wonderful couple that Billy and I are thankful to have met, Cole Sawyer and Stephen Ruark for donating a rifle scope for auction, Britt and Von Mitchell, you two are such great friends and a blessing from God to us, thank you for all of your help; before in promoting and soliciting donations and for the duration in cooking, serving, and anything else that you did and for just being there for us, Mark Keyzer, for everything he donated and for taking his time to come help us, all of the ladies that helped serve the food, Wanda Ruark, Kathy Neal, Andrea, Tammy Equills, Robert Lilleys daughter, Brittany, each and every musician that came and played music and sang for us for 6 hours, the ladies that made deserts, Chelsea Douglas Blackburn, Ruth Grant, Carla Annette Roebuck Jennette, Beverly Benson Coltrain and Sylvia Coletrain, Ronald and Adrienne for allowing us to do this for you, and last but not least, each and every person that bought raffle tickets, donated your money and time, and everyone that came and supported us by donating for the food we served yesterday and just because you wanted to help! It was amazing to me while we were trying to get this event organized that time and time again I answered the phone to hear What do you need, what can i do to help? Our community and extended friends and family are truly blessed and in turn are a blessing, and this proved once again why we are all blessed to live in this great nation and why we serve a powerful and Almighty God! Thank you each and everyone!
