I would like to thank each and every person who came out to Rise Up Rochester, Inc.and ROC the Peace Fest 2014!!! Just like every other year this year was too a HUGE success...We opened up with an African Peace Prayer by Jerry Hines and opening prayer by Pastor Eddie Blanding Jr...We had both speakers and talent... Natalie Louis Yolanda Smilez John Rouse HEXX tore the stage apart Mr-Andrae Dunwoodyand his talented young dancers were awesome, NanaBaby Mooreshowed up and showed out, little Rachael from First Genesis touched my heart with her beautiful voice as always, Krisus Musick is very talented, Alexis Armstrong and her voice is amazing, Amen Imhotep Ptah he has been Rocn the peace with me since 2011 and well if you dont know about him you need to ask somebody, my brother is a beast with his words!!! @ roc city line dancers showed us some moves, Carleita Harris had me in tears her voice and personality is soooo amazing, Encouragement Lionsof Judah man oh man those youngsters were bending their bodies in such amazing ways... just awesome, my sis Camille Afiya another one who has been Rocn the peace with me since 2011 and she looks and sound amazing! Pastor Douglas A. Smith this man OMG he need to be sangin; with the Williams Brothers or somebody, Nurse Theresa Bowick she may not have her collard green dress on but her poem was truly amazing, Echo Nathan and Otis did a great job as well, Our Keynote speaker Mayor Lovely came and stayed for over an hour. She took lots of photos and her personalty was just so fantastic I pray for her to continue to run this city with much success of turning it around, she just need the people in this city of Rochester to also do our part. This years featured artist Michael Burton and his wife Tiffany R. Burton ..well I will say this they are truly Blessed! they came with their beautiful children and family and just blended right in. I LOVE it when a couple can put GOD first and not let success over shadow their faith and personality. They laughed and ate and when it was time to hit the stage his songs and voice was truly annointing. I pray The Burtons and every talent that took the stage will go far in their given talent... Now the man I call the voice of Roc The Peace Vincent B. McIntyre... Lets just say He LOVE his job, he took that mic all over the park, and because of his humor I can truly say we had some good hotdogs lol ( you had to have been there)... I want to thank my cuz and his family business Percent Cotton, they DJ,Photography, and make specialty baked goods such as cakes, cupcakes, and etc..We have had donations Volunteers( Ernest Frazier, Oscar McGrew III First Genesis Baptist Church, Inc., Rochester Ruff Ryders and Platinum Kingz, Barbara Cotton Baber African Methodist Episcopal Church Keith Charles Crowder, Antonia Nicole, and those I missed) a special thank you to Rashad J. Smith-Cooper who invited Candice E. Williams and myself to speak to the Youth Summer Job program they gave me a certificate and wrote an article in the D&C) and just several folks who would like to be a part of future events.. LAST BUT NOT LEAST Team Roc the Peace and Team Rise up Rochester we did a fantastic job the last 2 years and yes before we left the park we have already made a date for next year...July 18th 2015- mark your calendars NOW!!!
