I would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to my questions last week about needs in your Communities. My company Accion Group Enterprises has hired Cheryl Ragland, CEO of The MarketPlace Firm out of Atlanta to conduct a formal nationwide survey in the following cities: Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Nassau County, NY, Raleigh, Detroit, Central Florida, Birmingham-Tuscaloosa, Biloxi-Gulfport, and Southern California. There’s a huge consensus that our youth are grossly underserved, along with a lack in jobs and business opportunities for individuals & families. I’ve begun the preliminary work from a fund development, program and strategic planning perspective. While I cannot do everything it is my intention to target the cities with the greatest needs, create programs, jobs & business, hire skilled staff to carry them out and implement these programs in FY2015.
