I would like to thank my cousins, Barbara and Nancy White, and my good friends, Ellen Zuravel and Marsha Houston for accompanying me to the Rose Ceremony at AV Hospital this past Wednesday. This ceremony honors individuals, including Don, who have helped prolong life by donating tissue after death. There were several families there to help honor their loved ones, and I was pleased that one of Dons first students at Quartz Hill High School came up to me and gave me a hug. I also ran into Mr. Molina, from QHHS. The ceremony was lovely. There will be a rose placed, with Dons name on it, on the Light Up the World Float, to honor dedications ...from across the country and around the world, at the 2014 Rose Parade. I was able to write a special note on the vial that will contain the rose for Don. Although I was apprehensive about going, I am very glad I did. It gave another dimension to the importance of Dons life. I want to thank Candy and Jeff Crimin for their support, too. Much love, Sue
