I would like to thank the recent crop of executives of the Gonjaland Youth Association(National) for the tremendous work in recent times. I believe they deserve a congratulation message from we all. Especially the PRO in the person of Mahama Haruna. We say thank you for job well done. As a people,we have ideas that characterize us and they are the basis of our common identity. We as a people take our identity from a common ancestry that led is gradually under one common tradition and loyalty. Therefore there is no way to become a Gonja except tobe born a Gonja parents. So, let us everytime be reminded of this bond. And we must find it necessary to live together as one people devoid of divisiveness. The development of Gonjaland should be everyones priority. We should stop the blame game and seeking to advance our parochial interest . For us to develop as a people and Gonjaland for that matter, we must be prepared to take the bull by the horn instead of seeking the face of politician to develop. Infact, in the past few months there is no doubt that the innitiatives embarked by the current crop of leaders is a positive step of salvaging our people from educational setbacks. And also putting Gonjaland on a high pedestal ie the creation of the Gonjaland website and also a fund for the development of education which is a bedrock for development. Indeed this is what we expect from genuine minded Gonjalanders instead of the trend embarked by Mr. Albert Nuhu who seek to advance his ulterior motive using this platform. Infact we must look for ways by which we can partner with other stake holders to boost some economic activities in the area. We have a vast of land lying fallow on various stretches of Gonjaland with unscrupolous people taking advantage. If we do not find feasible ways buy which we can empower our people and tend to depend on politicians we may become frustrated by events since it is not expedient. This platform is no doubt a good platform to show case our interlect towards sharing our expertise in modern form of development. Infact if we dont do away with the likes of Mr. Albert Nuhu who seek to segregate us, we may end up plunging Gonjaland into chaos ( God forbid). What at all does he seek to achieve? Or is it mere greed? Could it also be naivity, ignorance or hypocricy? Infact i was alarmed.for him to seem to suggest that various reputed personalities neglected Gonjaland when they were regional ministers and seem to have excuses for others and seeking to take others on for the woes. What a hypocrite he is. Isnt it political expediency? Has some one lost his moral upright? Certainly so! At least i expected him to have reason better from his current location. For you to have suggested someone tarred the road to Tolon and not that of Fufulso is a misguided statement. Do u know where the University for Development studies is situated in Tamale? In case u didnt know, the school was established by former president rawlings and it was so dear to his heart. Couldnt it have being that he directed the construction of that road? President mahama got the Fufulso sawla road constracted because he became the president. And you should know that as president, he is the appointment authority. Remember he was a minister as well. My support is always with president mahama and i would want to see him succeed as the President. It would be an endictment on all of us should we watch him fail. Posterity would not forgive us. I implore Gonjalanders to ignore his claims because they are frivolous and ulterior.
