I would love to have someone explain to me why one of the most elite fighting forces was sent to Africa to deal with Ebola. These are not medics. These are highly trained combat ready soldiers. How are these fighting forces supposed to deal with Ebola? Ebola is a biological agent. It is not a flesh and blood assailant. This unit is not trained to build structures or to transport personnel. This unit is trained to fight. It would make more sense if it was the corps of engineers and they were needed to build hospitals or isolation units. It would also make sense if it would be medics or medically trained personnel. It would make more sense if it was a government supported unit of Doctors without Borders.
