I would make an important distinction between communication and synergy. Based on Organizational Behavior by Hitt, Miller, and Colella, communication is the sharing of information between two or more people to achieve a common understanding about an object or situation, while synergy is an effect wherein the total output of a team is greater than the combined outputs of individual members working alone. Communication doesnt necessarily achieve synergy, but partnerships with groups from different fields and disciplines potentially do. I believe that saying my platform consists of mostly facilitating communication is an extreme oversimplification because at its core, its main point is to achieve synergy by creating a culture of collaboration through establishing partnerships. - Ryan Yu for Sanggunian President
