I would vote YES for a casino. Kenosha needs jobs, Wisconsin needs jobs. The casino in Milwaukee will not lose anything - have you been there? There can be up to 5 people deep waiting for a machine. Standing Room Only. Another casino choice is not going to ruin the business that a greedy Milwaukee casino has already captured. What a new casino does is allow a lot of Illinois money to flow along a corridor from the Wisconsin border to Kenosha. Hard Rock International will be the guiding factor in the design and running of the casino, so slots gambling WILL NOT be the only reason to go there. Finally, it will allow the Menominee Nation the opportunity to use the gains to help their people by providing services and assistance to their members. Elderly Housing, Education, Public Works, building maintenance, road maintenance, and other things that property taxes usually fund. The 3 top tribes in this state are sitting comfortably with their gains, their people are benefiting from those gains. Why deny any of the states smaller tribes from trying to get ahead and become self-sustaining? All it does is benefit Wisconsin when less and less people are dependent upon government assistance just to survive.
