(I wrote a letter to NBC about this skit) I just wanted to comment on the skit of School House Rock and immigration. Im all for humorous portrayal of politicians, yet I find it more funny when the skit reflects reality. President Obama was ready to sign an immigration bill that passed the senate in 2013 and the House of Representatives chose not to vote on it. The skit should have shown John Boener pushing a bill down the stairs of capitol hill. The skit implies the president wanted to act on it alone and not work together with Congress. The opportunity was there for the house to vote and they didnt do it. If you thought an attack on President Obama would lead to higher ratings it probably did, yet I lost a little respect for snl in the process. I hope snl can more accurately portray politics so we can all laugh at the skits, and learn something in the process. #SNL youtube/watch?v=JUDSeb2zHQ0
