I wrote a report about visiting WHILL HQ this morning, which will be public my companys website soon. Interesting thing about them for me is that their three founders are Japanese engineers worked for big Japanese companies and are the same age as me! (born in 1982-1983). How different life you are going on!! They are THE startup you can picture. They did bunch of private projects together before the first prototype of WHILL (sometimes all night). They were discussing how they could create something important for modern life. After they created a part of first WHILL prototype as one of their private projects, they noticed WHILL had big potential and started fund rising project on Japanese version of kickstarter to complete the first prototype. It was successful and they started own startup, run a booth at some exhibits, were elected as 500 startups, and establish HQ in San Carlos, and first products this year, etc. etc. I think the remarkable thing of them is that they have not only vision, passion to create worthful thing but also actual skills that they can complete high quality prototype that investors can easily agree their vision.
