I wrote the following in response to the usual trolling in the comments section of a Youtube video about Aliens on the moon (my concern is not about the veracity of the account of lunar aliens (controvertible), but about trolls naysaying the Apollo moon landings as historical fact (incontrovertible): I greatly hesitate to involve myself in message boards and comment sections that read like a wall of gangland graffiti and I tell myself, so to soothe, Ah, just ignore this simple-minded ignorance and base buffoonery; however, as soon, my conscience reins me in and advises, No, it is your responsibility to risk getting muddy by association with morass-dwellers that a thread of Reason might be set up as a beacon amongst them. Truly, if one studies Science seriously and admits as plausible the most basically provable Physical Laws (which can be demonstrated in ones garage or backyard), it is incontestable that the Moon Landing did in fact take place, with a likely minimum departure from its official description. Out of curiosity, I have conducted research into the plausibility of Moon Landing Conspiracy Theories (there are a number), and have found that almost without exception they base themselves firmly in pseudoscience and much of the time embarrassingly betray the scientific ignorance of the promulgators. Additionally, there is an estimable record of third-party evidence continually fortifying the factuality of the Moon Landings. If one were to claim that even the ones behind these third-party evidences were in fact co-conspirators in a global mock-up to deceive experts and the public at large as to the veracity of the Apollo Missions, one would be simultaneously implicitly claiming that huge populations of diverse backgrounds and working under the auspices of numerous autonomous nations were all absolutely intent on deceiving the masses for the good of their work; it is simply not possible to maintain such a grand-scale lie, where it is known by such numbers of insiders, without a leak of verifiable data attesting to the truth of the lie coming to light. No such verifiable data exists to date, making conspiracy claims concerning the Moon Landings extremely implausible. I see below my post on this page, and I expect to see above my post on this page---by and by---a plethora of inane ribaldry and brutish explications by those uneducated in scientific matters. I mean this not as an insult, but as an admonition: Please study mainstream and third-party historical accounts as well as our best understandings of Physical Laws and it should be clear to you that in your current frattish games of unverifiable contrarianistic blurts you quite palpably endanger the future of the human race and life on this planet. If life is to survive, as well it should, it will become necessary for Mankind and his biological charges to settle other planets and to live in space habitats. Regardless of the veracity of the account in the above video (which is supremely dubitable), ventures like the Moon Landings NEED to be happening regularly and undertaken methodically in order to ensure biological continuity in the Universe, lest we be the only ones (which is also supremely dubitable). Vile naysaying, even where it may base itself in a grain of truth, is nonetheless counter-productive, in the long perspective, of species survival. And for those who yet counter: Why should Man leave the Earth at all?---We are Earthlings---and are meant to live and die here, If we cannot even live well by the Earth, how can we dream of settling other worlds?, and It is immoral and imperialistic to annex and occupy other worlds---even where they are uninhabited---you have my blessing to indulge in these excuses to continue wallowing in self-comforting short-sightedness and cognitively dissonant complacency and perish with the Earth. You have the permission of Destiny. You have the consent of the Cosmos. However, to those ridiculous futurists like me, to the good men and women at the worlds space agencies, to astronomers and scientists around the world, and to those who look to the Stars for their answers (which is perhaps indistinguishable from looking for answers within, should we lend credence to current thought with regard to Quantum Reality), I say: Let us NOT perish, let us record our history well and take to the stars---and if our less-educated and doubting younger brothers and sisters wish to die on the Earth, as martyrs to Ignorance, let us disregard this futurists earlier blessing with which they might perish with the Earth, and take them with us anyway---starward to the branous edges of the Multiverse (should it prove to be so), yes, you naysayers, when interstellar travel becomes a reality, even you will be aboard ship. Thank you.
