I wrote this article almost two years ago. I felt strongly that someone needed to read it then. Today, I re post it, because I think someone else needs to read it. Be blessed. Amen. FIGHTING DEPRESSION It was a simple thought Yet it came with deep seated hurt It was a simple recline Yet it played back a forgotten decline I sat down and my face fell The writings on the wall spoke of hell The weather was calm, a great day But sadness and sorrow insisted to have their say. It was a poisonous arrow My head became hollow As the thought hit my heart The past rolled in and quietly sat. Yesterday’s many sorrow, My joy, you will not borrow. Today’s many joys and fate, For thee, I choose courage and faith Written by Tekena Ikoko, on Sunday, 30th September, 2012, by the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I see help coming your way in Jesus name…”
