I wrote this for the seniors. Red and Gold From the final - TopicsExpress

I wrote this for the seniors. Red and Gold From the final whistle of ’13, They’ve been planning and preparing, Working at being stronger and better, Wanting to put those jerseys back on. From Blue Church to Fancher, County Line to Cheshire, They’re a team of friends and brothers, Dreaming of football glory, Determined to earn their wings. From parents, family , coaches and friends, They’ve heard our cheers and our prayers, Urging them to work hard and play fair, We’ve watched them stay united and strong. They tamed the Tygers, finished the Falcons, And became homecoming heroes in jerseys of gold. They defeated a rival and gave Coach Weaver a first. The real Eagles have always called Big Walnut their home. Seasons have changed and so has this team. The victories will grow sweeter and the losses will fade. They have been knocked down but will always stand tall. These nineteen men will always be our boys of Fall. The season has ended but life goes on. So many changes coming their way. But this remains constant and never grows old- Eagle Pride is forever, it wears red and gold.
