I wrote this when I woke up this morning How far down the rabbit hole would you go Would you leap with abandonment Would you move with slow judgement How far down the rabbit hole would you go Could you be turned back As you try to to scratch back to the surface Are you simply content with the mask of a face When you see where the power lies When you see just how deep this rabbits gone How far would you go If the world that you knew was just an illusion Would you return out of fright Could you return to that night Could you bury your head in the sand And wish for a remedial denial When you see those puppet strings Those ominous silken strands that come up from below Branching and branching like an upside down pyramid Through government corruption and secret societies Through alien manipulation and ancient master races Through all the hidden secrets that create this worlds story lines Would you keep going through these empty spaces Through sights irreconcilably seen How far down the rabbit hole would you go Is it enough just to plumb the depths Is that enough to drive you past your own anxieties Climbing further and deeper down the hole Down towards a growing glow And if on your way you saw a garden of Eden Where beauty flowed in rivers And love rained from the sky Would you stop and stay In this innocent comfort Or would you recognize a distraction And continue on down the rabbit hole Would you keep going and going Until you reached the core Until you can see the spider on the other side of the hole Until youve reached the inferno of the heart That casts its glow up along the walls With a pulsing radiant beat When youve finally reached that place Through all that youve been Could you find the courage to make that final leap Off the wall into that infinite eternal sphere below Would you even need that courage Or progressed far past it Would it still be curiosity that drove you Or something much deeper Something right above that core Would you now understand A song youve heard calling and calling A calling for which youve longed and longed That longing you couldnt before put a name to Would you now understand The gravity thats been pulling you That draw youve felt since you began Would you now understand You are the rabbit and this is your home
