I4k REVIEW Film: Anna(Thalaiva in Tamil) Cast: Vijay, Amala Paul, Satya Raj, Santhanam and others Music: G V Prakash Kumar Director: A L Vijay Release Date: August 9 ============= Story Line: Story starts in Mumbai and as in all other same type of films this movie also starts with fight between two groups in Mumbai, anna(Sathyaraj) is head of a group. In order to protect his people he becomes a don and sends his little son to Australia and keeps him away from this violence. His son grows up as dancer Vishwa (Vijay). He falls for Meera (Amala Paul) in Australia who is a daughter of a restaurant owner (Suresh). When the time comes for marriage between two, Meera’s parents wanted to meet Anna and they come down to Mumbai along with Vishwa. A series of unexpected incidents reveal that Meera and her father are Police Officers on special duty appointed to catch Anna.and now Anna is killed in a bomb blast by the rival group headed by Bhima (Abhimanyu Singh). Here comes the interval bang. How did Vishwa take up the responsibility of Anna? How he protected his people from the clutches of Bhima? How did he succeed finally is the rest of the story. >>>>>>>>>>>>> Review: this was a routine story where we have seen this kind of plots almost many years back with the Elements of revenge, betrayal and a bit of message as common formula. Basically for people who are habituated to watch 2hours twenty minutes movies will definitely feel hard to watch this three hour movie. The screenplay moves very slow and many scenes can be edited still which makes audience feel bore. Performance wise Vijay has really worked hard in the movie and he did his job well and he has showed his change over and executed perfect variations of characters as a dancer and a don. Amala Paul looked very very cute and her costumes made her beautiful and also fit well into this dual shaded character. Sathyaraj is into a powerful role and as usual he rocked it. Comedy is very weak in the film and a huge minus where artificial comedy tried audience to make laugh but failed. Abhimanyu Singh is good in villain character but not his best. The cinematography of Nirav Shah boosted movie to a good range.. Anthony’s editing should have been much concentrated as well. GV Prakash’s background score is purely non sinking. The music also went decreasing as only the melody song in first half impresses the listeners. songs are not so great. Dialogues are very routine and common ones. Overall, the best part of the movie is a good romantic track in first half which is elevated well and secondly its the Interval bang which is ter good. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Verdict: Just leave this..! First Half: Average Second Half: Dull **if you enjoy the romantic genres then you can watch the film but only first half entertains you. Better opt for other releases** Review by: Rayarao Sriram ------------------ This review is the opinion and analysis of our review writer. Please dont judge the movie based on this review.
