In kericho pple from kipchimchim all the way up to nyagacho , they buy vegetables kericho market managu , saget sukuma etc they dont plant it and this are things grown in an orchard , the vegetable venders of kericho arent kipsigis but kikuyus of molo and kosobek of nyamira , For your information one sack of saget or managu fetches 8500 to 9000 , the kikuyu /kosobek women selling this vegetables they move from kapkatet to kericho to londian to molo and lastly nakuru different days within a week , this women comfortably makes btn 60k to 70 k a month , One time i talked with a kikuyu lady who does this business in rotational towns she told me the advantage of this business is the kalenjin community (main clients) dont like planting this vegetables or maybe its a taboo they dont know. , this lady says her work is dedicating one hector of land and do farming of this vegetables , and some she buys from neighbors she is at markets 5am to sell to retailers and sometimes she goes all the way to narok kirgors when its a bit dry ...my question is why suffer rents nairobi with 30k while you have one hector of land you can irrigate all year round ...most of this women own fleet of matatus in kisii nakuru nissan team and narok line sacco ... hepu interview your soul
