The birth of new school hip hop: SLAY YUNG The ability to bring something fresh to the game is always the secret essence to success in the rap industry and Slay Yung, real name Celestine T. Bonda, possesses the lines, the slick an fresh flows and the swagg that is set to propel him to the top of the game. He grew up in a music atmosphere and therefore was always keen with rap music. “I was exposed to hip hop as a kid through my big brothers”, said Sla as he went on to mention that he also was involved in a lot of freestyle battles at school and performing at talent shows where his passion for rap music grew even more. “As a hip hop artist I am working extra hard to create my own sound through making rap that h soul, a message which will inspire and bring people together. I am planning o collaborating with many artists from different genres so as to boost my knowledge of music” –Slay Yung. Slay has been in the booth working on a number of promotional tracks. He collaborated with a number of artists o a mixtape entitled STREET CO. Volume 1. The masses heard and loved his craf which made him decide to take music more seriously and professionally. “I grew up listening to different types of artists and different genres of music b rap caught me. The likes of Jay Z, The Game, Lupe Fiasco and more made me fall in love with hip hop and the culture it resembles.
