IFP: STATE SECURITY MUST TAKE TERRORIST TRAINING IN SA ALLEGATIONS SERIOUSLY The IFP calls on the Department of State Security and the State Security Agency to take the allegations that al-Shabab is recruiting young Somalis from South Africa to be trained as suicide bombers, to participate in their efforts to turn Somalia into a safe haven for terrorism, extremely serious. IFP Spokesperson on Police, Mr Velaphi Ndlovu said, “This poses serious threats to our country and the world at large. The department must conduct all necessary investigations into these allegations in order to determine whether there are any secret camps around our country where these terrorists are being trained. If so, they must remove this scourge immediately from within our borders." The IFP urges our country’s department of Home Affairs to work and cooperate closely with Kenyan authorities in tracking down one of the terrorists who is said to be the master mind behind Kenya’s Westgate Mall attack, the so called “white widow” who is allegedly also in possession of South African passports. Ndlovu added, “Our country must not be allowed to become a safe haven for terrorists.
