#IF_WISHES_WERE_HORSES I wish that in ten years from now, I will seat my son down to discuss my life as an undergraduate in a Federal school... I wish I could tell him that during my days in school politics, I and all members of The Students Union Government excercised good and transparent leadership without fear from external forces and favour from internal forces.. I wish I would tell him that Mr. President only surrounds himself with wise men, men that truly has the students welfare at heart not their selfish and sentimental interests.. I wish I could tell ma little boy that during my days in school politics, the major members of the ruling party proved doubters wrong by performing far above their manifesto lies... I wish I could tell my boy that even amongst much troubles and temptations, the SecGen still remains focused and neutral especially in cases of quarels and fights amongst shop and space owners within school.. I wish to tell ma boy that those days in school, the Director Of Welfares dream of feeding the school with rice, garri and beans during exam period was achieved... I wish I could boast to my son that during my time in school, my PROs office was able to launch and achieve the UNIBEN RADIO project.... I wish I could boldly tell the lad that during my days MR SPORTs dream and plans of kick starting the University League Programme was achieved...a league programme like the one whose plans are ongoing.. I sure do wish to tell my boy that during ma time, the Director of Finance was not just uncommon but was extremely accountable that the only time he was questioned was due to excess funds in students accounts.. I wish to tell ma boy that during ma days so many students were empowered skillfully due to the vocational training initiatives of the Vp.. I wish I could tell him that during ma days in the Supreme Parliament, Parliamentarians went about their duties without fear and favour of any kind, without faculty and tribal sentiments....wish they could speak and defend the truth even amongst two-headed humans... I wish I could tell him that hall3 never won hall4 in the inter-hostel cup by crook and error.. Finally I wish that at the end of everything the present administration and all that is directly or indirectly involved would be termed a success even amongst the huge tasks that for sure are more spiritual than physical.. #wishIcoulddomoreofworkingthanwishing..
