IIM-C Rules and Regulation for Carpe Diem:- Dramatics: Abhinay One act play, the flagship stage play event providing you an opportunity to showcase your acting skills on stages. Art imitates life and who better a mimic than an actor. A painter paints the world on his canvas, offering perspectives hitherto unexplored and unnoticed. Every day is new and so is every experience; never allowing the familiarity to set in. But an actor, he gets to live those experiences day in and day out. Guidelines : The teams can comprise of maximum 15 members including director, producer, writer, backstage prop in-charge, light in-charge and sound in-charge Play should be in Hindi, English or in the combination both. Play can be an original or an adaptation. Teams are required to submit a synopsis of their play with appropriate reference to the original play in case of adaptation. Act should not contain any inappropriate content which includes religious blasphemy, obscenity or any objectionable political content. It may lead to immediate disqualification. Decision of judges and event coordinators will be final in this regard. Teams are expected to follow the time mentioned limits. Exceeding the time limit will be penalized. Event will take place in two rounds Round 1: Teams are required to present a brief portion of their final play. Each team will get 10 min empty stage to empty stage Props : 1 Table, 2 Chairs , 2 Plant Pots. Teams may bring props of their own, organizers hold the discretion of allowing it on stage Round 2: Shortlisted teams will perform in final round Time : 40 min empty stage to empty stage Total cash prize worth INR 45,000 First – 30,000 Second – 15,000
