IKS Monthly Public Talk : Guardian Ancestors’ Blessings & The Removal of Pitru Dosham on 3rd September 2014. For peaceful and successful life, your departed ancestors must be worshiped and remembered by performing Pitru Poojai or honouring of the past souls during the time of Mahalaya Paksha. This year it commences on the 9th of September 2014, right after the full moon day and ends on the Mahalaya New Moon day, which is on the 23rd of October 2014. This two weeks’ period is the most important period to appreciate your departed ancestors. Our spiritual relationship with our ancestors begins with the understanding that death is a natural rite of passage. When our loved ones die, they take their place as departed ancestors on our family tree. From there they can communicate with us so that we are safe and comforted in troubled times. To develop our spiritual relationship with our ancestors we first have to be willing to believe in the responsibility that there is a place beyond death where our ancestors reside. It is important to have faith that they can and will communicate with us when we need their support. There are two types of departed ancestors for everyone: - Guardian ancestors who will be living in light world (with power equal to Angels, Gods & Goddesses who can bless us for our wellbeing). - Departed ancestors who will be living in dark world (unrest souls who can also impact our life). It is important to pray for our guardian ancestors, departed ancestors and loved ones, and offer remembrance to them on a regular basis. Even great Siddhas like Agastiya, Maha Rishis like Vasisthar, Avatars like Krishna and Rama, when they lived on the earth plane appreciated their ancestors through ritual called ‘Tarpanam’. https://youtube/watch?v=ZywdUvjNixU https://youtube/watch?v=O5-8ET0852Y
