A member of music royalty, The Drinkard Singers, a gospel pioneer quartet family group. By name there was Anne, Lee, Marie, Cissy, Nick, and Larry Drinkard. They recorded several gospel albums, traveled the metropolitan area of the East Coast. Out of this gospel singing group came, Cissy Houston, Dionne Warwick, Dee Dee Warwick, Whitney Houston and herself Felicia Moss Eaton. Anne Moss, Cissy Houston were the Ministers of Music for The New Hope Baptist Church of Newark New Jersey, our home church. Whitney and her started our own gospel group named Unity under the direction of Rev. Donnie Harper. During my elementary and high school days, Felicia was enrolled into the Emily Miles Belle Meade School of Modeling studying poise, charm, and became a Belle Meade Model for professional fashion shows. Felicia studied ballet, tap, & interpretive dance. At that time she entered the Miss New Jersey Teenager Pageant a won and therefore was given a professional photo shoot and portfolio, this open doors to modeling in professional fashions shows throughout the New Jersey - New York area. Felicia also recorded with her mother Anne Drinkard Moss, Rev. Lawrence Roberts and Dorothy Norwood. After high school, went on to college earning a Degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation was introduced to Tramaine Hawkins of the Edwin Hawkin singers, and was hired as part of an opening act and toured the Islands; after which took a job as backup singer touring with Dionne Warwick for several years, during this time sang backup for Gladys Knight, Pattie Labelle, Stevie Wonder. My greatest tour experience’s were “The Greatest Love” and “The Moment of Truth” tours with Whitney Houston for well over 10yrs. While taking a break from the road, Felicia then developed my own gospel group, which she managed and directed, as we toured the State of New Jersey and the Tri-State area. Felicia have since then worked as a studio vocalist for Sony Publishing; recorded as back-up singer on Cissy Houston’s gospel album, “He Leadeth Album“, recorded a commercial for McDonalds Gospelfest Annual Fundraiser; performing gospel brunches several times a year for “The Priory Restaurant” in Newark, New Jersey; to date am a guest vocalist with my family for the tune entitled “Family Comes First” on the soundtrack of “Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls“; vocal contractor and backup vocalist on Dionne Warwick’s latest CD which is gospel entitled, “Why We Sing”; and travel twice a year overseas as backup vocalist on her “My Music and Me” tour.
