This talk will cover the current aspects of diagnosis and management of Head & Neck Cancers, the most commonly occurring cancers in India. It will also cover the latest advances in Head & Neck Cancer Surgery. Speaker : Dr Shamit Chopra M.S. (MAMC), F.A.H.N.S (USA) Dr. Shamit Chopra completed his graduation & post-graduation at Maulana Azad Medical College and associated L.N., G.B and G.N.E.C Hospitals in New Delhi. Placing four in university. He then did a clinical observership in the Head & Neck Unit in the Department of Surgical Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai and proceeded to complete fellowships in Head, Neck and Skull Base Surgery at University of California-Davis Medical Center and then another fellowship in Head & Neck Oncology, Microvascular Reconstructive and Wayne state University in Michigan. He subsequently joined the staff of Patel Cancer and Super Specialty Hospital, Jalandhar, Punjab as Consultant Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon. 2. Topic: Physicians overview of colorectal cancer : This talk will cover brief overview of diagnosis and management of colorectal cancer. Speaker: Dr. Anubha Bharthuar M.D. (Internal Medicine), US Fellow, MedicalOncology and Hematology, Rosewell Park Cancer Institute / Universityof Buffalo, New York, US. Dr. Anubha Bharthuar completed her graduation from the University of Delhi at Maulana Azad Medical College and associated hospitals. She subsequently obtained E.C.F.M.G. Certification and proceeded to complete M.D. in Internal Medicine from the University of Connecticut, US. She has completed a three year fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, one of the premier N.C.C.N. Cancer Institute in the U.S. Dr. Bharthuar has expertise in the specialized medical management (Chemotherapy) of all types of solid tumors including breast cancer, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, head & neck cancers, liver and gastrointestinal cancers, gynecological and prostate cancers, among others.
