IMPORTANT: As if I havent shared with you enough in the way of reasons as to why Ive been saying for weeks now that Trevor Fuller does not merit continuing as the Chairman of the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners, (see my posting from earlier today), tonight comes word that he has consistently and repeatedly failed to properly account for his campaign fundraising and expenditures, going back several years now, for which he has had to repeatedly submit corrections. This from the man who is responsible for the County budget? Im in possession of much of the documentation related to this, and will be sharing it with you in detail over the next few days - but I felt this was so important that I had to say something about it tonight, at the beginning of our weekend, because I wouldnt have been able to sleep tonight if I didnt - and because several other media outlets in town are reporting the bare bones of the story tonight. I dont think theyre going far enough so far in explaining the implications of this - and I want to make sure you know just how serious and significant this development is. Its this simple: Anyone who tries to tell you Fuller merits re-election to the Chair, over Pat Cain Cotham, ought to be ashamed of themselves, and, as far as Im concerned, MUST reconsider before the Commissioners vote for the new Chairperson on December 1st. Frankly, Im disgusted by those Commissioners who continue to play petty games with the business of the County, and I call them out NOW: Stand up and do the right thing, while you still have the chance. Your constituents are watching.
