***IMPORTANT COMMUNITY MESSAGE!!!*** From chocpaw/ "Hi everyone, I hope you all have heard now about the fire that occurred at the kennel. The house at the dog yard was struck by lightning and has been completely burned down along with all of our winter gear. Since insurance will not be covering any of the losses Lori, Kim, and Karen, along with some other folk within the Chocpaw/South River community, have organized a fundraising benefit dinner and dance. Please mark this on your calendar! The event will be held on November 9th at the South River Arena, doors open at 5pm. Tickets will be $50 which includes a roast beef dinner, served at 6pm. There will be live local entertainment by Sean Cotton and Friends, as well as a cash bar serving wine and beer. Everything to make the evening possible will be donated from various businesses within the community including a variety of prizes available to win.All proceeds will be donated to Chocpaw in order to help ease the financial blow of replenishing our gear inventory to allow us to have another successful winter out on the trails keeping our clients and dogs happy and warm.
