If you see anything suspicious, call 911 immediately. “Last week, we chased/caught a burglar after having hit 6940 Shelbyville Rd. I’ve discovered recently that numerous FT officers had no idea these burglaries had been going on for several months. The suspect confessed to over 500 burglaries and being a part of a large, sophisticated ring. I’ve attached the most recent intel. A pattern we’ve noticed: Target homes are on main roads in the township ie; Southport, Edgewood, 5 Pts, Shelbyville, Franklin, etc. We have not noticed any increase in the neighborhoods. The suspects work M-F 0800-1300 hrs. Multiple vehicles are often used. The ringleaders will take pictures of the houses and the addresses then pass them out to the workers. They are supposed to be armed. They spend very little time in the house grabbing just a few, easily sold, items: T.V.’s, laptops, game systems, and any cash/jewelry they can quickly find. The original suspect led detectives to another that was apprehended later in the day. The 1st was a B/M. #2 was a W/F. We had a loose description from past burglaries of her, often with her dog in the front seat. Known vehicles: Chrysler 300 with dark tint and large black SUV, possibly Escalade or Expedition. The Chrysler 300 was spotted yesterday backed in a drive in the Franklin/Raymond area possibly doing a burglary at that time.”
