IMPORTANT!!!.....It is critical that all people oppose (vote NO) to the proposed change to recognise local govt in the constitution at the referendum at the next election. By local govt areas being recognised then Sharia law can be demanded in the local area based on the % of Muslim people in that local area. This is exactly how the Muslims obtained sharia law recognition in UK!! Please share and pass on! The Federal Govt (both major parties) have been following the UN agenda (Agenda 21). In fact the Commonwealth Govt has produced a manual – Our Community – Our Future, a Guide to Local Agenda 21, 1999. This document was for use by Local Councils, bypassing the State Govt. They got rid of the title Agenda 21 and substituted Local Councils for Sustainability. Our research has just come up with evidence that they signed up to the UN Global Governance treaty, before 2009. The ground work had been laid years ago. In fact Parliament has been toying with the idea of changing the Australian constitution WITHOUT REFERENDUMS, its all there in Hansard. (Can supply references to GOVT docs for all the info.) 1) Through Coag – homogenize all State Laws 2) Start local council amalgamations in all states 3) Local Councils transformed into body corporates run by a CEO and of course they have ABNs. a) Transfer of power from Councillors to CEO. b) enlarge wards so electors ability to influence local govt decision making is harder because larger numbers of them have to be mobilised to counter unfair bylaws and unjust charges etc. Breaking the connection between voters and councillors. 4) Councils encouraged to use ICLEI software for their TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE accounting. 5) Senior Council Staff receive sustainabilty leadership training through the UNAA and/or ICLEI Oceania, (head office Melb). Past Chairs of ICLEI Oceania have been local council CEOs it also provides manuals and various training programs on sustainable leadership. Again this creates uniformity of approach. Rogue councils are discouraged through a range of monitoring and fiscal measures. 6) Local Councils have been implementing Federal Sustainabilty (aka Agenda 21UN policy) which is against the Constitution ie a foreign program. 7) Local councils have illegally been making foreign treaties – under the Australian constitution, any treaty with a foreign entity can only be done by and through the Federal Govt no state or local council can legally do so. Regions created in all States, ostensibly for a) promotion of region, b) channeling of federal govt programs and grants. 9) The framework for further council amalgamations is already being discussed at state level. 10) Parliamentary discussions and reports on changing the Federation of States to one of Cities and Regions. Feb 2012 report by Richard Murray “A New Federation with a Cities and Regional Approach 11) The Federal Govt against advice of the Select Committee and the Constitution is ONLY FUNDING A YES VOTE. They are required to present BOTH sides of the argument AND fund both sides. 12) They intend to have a second item for referendum with this one, which may by its presence, enable them to by default garner more votes for the Local Council Referendum. The second item is recognition of Indigenous Australians in the Constitution. Thus if this is placed first in the ballot paper there is a strong likelihood that the second item could also get a YES vote whereas on its own it would definitely get a NO. 13) Thus once the Local Councils now called Local Government are in the Constitution, the next step will be amalgamations into Regional Councils followed by the dissolution of the State Governments. 14) Local grassroots councils will be no more. Just Cities and Regional Councils funded by and reporting to Canberra. Each regional council will be based around a major regional city. Average ward sizes will be between 70,000 to 200,000 voters. 15)The UN has already had discussions and reports about providing CITIES WITH A SEAT IN THE UN. I think it was on the UN Habitat website. 16) Thus by default and without reference to the will of the people of a nation they could create the WORLD PARLIAMENT that Bob Brown spoke about. Possibly he was precipitate in revealing the long term plans which may have led to his hasty retirement. The EU is a classic example as UKIP points out of homogenising Europe. Just remember Hitler dreamed of Europe that was centrally controlled. If you have problems getting the council to provide you with basic services now imagine what these super councils will be like. My ward at present has something over 2000 voters, And I can easily approach my Councillor all that will be gone under the regional structure and the bureaucrats will be even more in control. This change will allow the Feds to implement any draconian legislation they want. The States are our last defence against Federal Govt excesses – look at Gillard.
