IMPORTANT MEETING!!! There will be an informational meeting on October 15th, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Baldonnel School. It will be dealing with the 6190 pages of non-compliance records of the Peace Valley OSB Plant that were obtained through the Freedom of Information Process for a cost of $1703. At this meeting you will see documentation where the company has flooded out neighbors with contaminated water, ran in a non-compliant state for over a year at a time, incidents of oil spills, and company driven action plans that do not follow standard protocol. This is the same company that promised they would not use MDI in their manufacturing process 10 years ago; however, have now applied to use it. According to WorkSafe BC, MDI is a highly reactive chemical. You have a right to see the non-compliance records and decide for yourself if this is a company you want using MDI. Become informed because you can make a difference, and your actions of today will determine the air you, your family, and community breathe tomorrow.
