IMPORTANT PARADE NOTICE: Everybody needs to be at position 50 (directly across the street from the caboose at the museum) by 9 am., facing EAST on 18th St. The parade starts at 10. Position 1 is way behind us and starts out first, passing all of the floats, then position 2, etc. When #49 (right behind us) pulls in front of us, we pull in behind them. The parade committee has it that way so everybody in the parade can see everybody elses floats. From the caboose to Ave. M, turn north on Ave. M. The review stand is in front of the flagpole at City Hall. Keep going on Ave. M and turn left on 14th St. (westbound). The official parade end is at 14th St. and Ave. Y (fire station), but the audience pretty well peters out several blocks before that. From there, we see how many marchers we can put on the float and in the truck, and take everybody back to the caboose and disperse from there. Its actually a LOT easier than the map was letting on. The orange lines on the map just indicate where all the floats and groups line up prior to the parade. Were actually less than a block from the green line, where the parade starts.
