***IMPORTANT RANT TIME PLEASE READ*** 80% of teachers are extremely overpaid. You pay to go to school to get a valuable education so you can achieve things later in life. But most teachers dont care about that, they only care about their salary. They only teach us about what will be on our tests versus what we will have to know to lead a good life. Though its not their job to raise us, it is their job to not just quit on us once testing and exams are over. Good grades get our hard working teachers more money. Now dont get me wrong, some teachers do actually care about what their students are learning. But I cant remember the last time any of my teachers kept actually teaching after exams were over. Or when a teacher faced the class and taught us something, versus reading from a packet or a PowerPoint. Sure, they do teach us some important things, like how to add and subtract, and how to read. But when will studying for hours upon hours pay off for us, except on a test? Ive always gotten good grades, but you dont need good grades to be successful. All that A or B is, is how much your teacher got paid that quarter. I just honestly feel like Im not learning anything from school anymore, and Im positive Im not the only one.
