IMPORTANT UPDATE ON NEUROMAENCER TUMBLR recently, tumblr has become increasingly strict with implementing their copyright policy (in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ’DMCA’). as you might have noticed, several well-known blogs on tumblr have been shut down by the tumblr staff already, with years of archived material lost forever to their former blog owners. so far i have received 3 anonymous threats from the tumblr staff of me ‘infringing their copyright policies’ and i have just received a new complaint today. i want to mention here, that in the four years of blogging on neuromaencer and the posting of over 6’000 images, i have only received complaints for 4 images. however the 5th complaint, and im sure im getting that one sooner than later, will be my final one. tumblr has threatened to delete neuromaencer forever. i can tell you at this point, that i am not longer letting myself being terrorised by the DMCA and the tumblr staff. i have never misused any pictures in any way and my followers will know that i always credit the sources. i have always been willing to take down pictures i posted if their originators didnt want me to publish them on this blog, and ive always appreciated it if they did it directly via writing me an email to neuromaencer@gmail. i see no reason why people have to anonymously write a complaint to the tumblr stuff about me posting their work, and then having the tumblr staff threatening me acting on behalf of these people who cant even address me directly. i have taken measures of precaution to keep neuromaencer running online also in the future despite of tumblr’s policies and i will be going OFF TUMBLR as soon as possible. i already have the neuromaencer url, and i will upload an independent website that will look exactly like the tumblr neuromaencer as soon as possible. this however means that you guys wont be able to ‘follow’ me anymore on tumblr, nor reblog any of the pictures i publish on the website. i am kind of sad to leave this community behind after all these years, especially now that neuromaencer is so close of breaching the 30’000 follower count. but i do want to ensure the future of neuromaencer, and that is, unfortunately, not on tumblr. to read more on this issue find attached links: - article internet copy right law being a failure blog.hubspot/marketing/internet-copyright-law-failure - tumblr post tumblr shuts down popular blogger: whos next? siennamargeaux.tumblr/post/67133483221/tumblr-shuts-down-popular-blogger-whos-next
