IN ALL THINGS GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD. FOR AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE, WILL DETERMINE OUR ALTITUDE IN LIFE. Psalm:92:1 IT IS a good {and} delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises [with musical accompaniment] to Your name, O Most High. Psalm:30:1-5: I WILL extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me. O Lord my God, I cried to You and You have healed me. O Lord, You have brought my life up from Sheol (the place of the dead); You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit (the grave). Sing to the Lord, O you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime {or} in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm:103:2-6: Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits--Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit {and} corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, {and} crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagles [strong, overcoming, soaring]! The Lord executes righteousness {and} justice [not for me only, but] for all who are oppressed. IT IS THE WILL OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER FOR US TO BE THANKFUL IN OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. 1Thess:5:18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. 2Cor:2:14-15: But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christs victory] and through us spreads {and} makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved {and} among those who are perishing: AS A TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, THANKING, PRAISING, GOD AS AN ACT OF GRATITUDE IS WHAT IS EXPECTED FROM US. BEING GRATEFUL IN ALL THINGS. Phil:4:4-7: Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! Let all men know {and} perceive {and} recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon]. Do not fret {or} have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance {and} in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And Gods peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison {and} mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. PRAISING AND THANKING GOD SHOULD NOT BE DETERMINED BY OUR EARTHLY ACQUISITION. OUR JOY SHOULD NOT DEPEND ON WHAT WE HAVE. HAB:3:17-19:Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation! The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, {and} my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] {and} make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]! THE PRAISES THAT BRING WHOLENESS IN LIFE. THERE IS MIRACLES AND THERE ARE MIRACLES, THEY ALL HAVE LEVEL. THERE WERE TEN LEPPERS IN THE LAND, WHILE OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WAS IN THE AREA, THEY CAME TO OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST FOR HEALING. OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TOLD THEM TO GO AND SHOW THEMSELVES TO THE HIGH PRIEST ACCORDING TO THE LAW OF MOSES. TRUELY ALL OF THEM WERE HEALED. BUT THE BIBLE MADE IT KNOWN TO US THAT, IT WAS ONLY ONE OF THEM THAT CAME BACK TO SHOW APPRECIATION AND THE HEART OF GRATITUDE. Luke:17:14-19:And when He saw them, He said to them, Go [at once] and show yourselves to the priests. And as they went, they were cured {and} made clean. Then one of them, upon seeing that he was cured, turned back, recognizing {and} thanking {and} praising God with a loud voice; And he fell prostrate at Jesus feet, thanking Him [over and over]. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked, Were not [all] ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Was there no one found to return and to recognize {and} give thanks {and} praise to God except this alien? And He said to him, Get up and go on your way. Your faith (your trust and confidence that spring from your belief in God) has restored you to health. ACTS OF THANKING AND PRAISING GOD, IS A WAY OF EXPRESSING THE JOY OF THE LORD IN OUR LIVES. IN THE JOY OF THE LORD IS WHERE OUR STRENGTH IS FOUND. Psalm:16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.Nehemiah: 8:10...... for the joy of the Lord is your strength {and} stronghold. IT IS ONLY THROUGH THE JOY OF THE LORD WE CAN DRAW WATER FROM THE WELL OF OUR SALVATION. Isaiah:12:3 Therefore with joy will you draw water from the wells of salvation. IN THE TIME OF TROUBLE, THE LORD WILL GIVE US HOPE IN HIM, SO WE CAN SING UNTO HIM BY EXPRESSING OUR HEART OF GRATITUDE. Hosea:2:15 There I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor [troubling] to be for her a door of hope {and} expectation. And she shall sing there {and} respond as in the days of her youth and as at the time when she came up out of the land of Egypt. Job:5:22 At destruction and famine you shall laugh, neither shall you be afraid of the living creatures of the earth. BEING UNGRATEFUL, IS WHAT CAUSES DEPRESSION, AND THE ANTIDOTE TO EMOTIONAL WRECKAGE IS BY SHOWING OUR GRATITUDE TO GOD FOR ALL HIS GOODNESS IN OUR LIVES. Pro:17:22 A happy heart is good medicine {and} a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones. OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, BEING GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, LIVES A LIFE OF THANKSGIVING, AND THIS WORTH TO EMULATE. John:11:41 So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. Matt:11:25 At that time Jesus began to say, I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth [and I acknowledge openly {and} joyfully to Your honor], that You have hidden these things from the wise {and} clever and learned, and revealed them to babies [to the childish, untaught, and unskilled]. IF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST ALWAYS THANK OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IN ALL HIS MIRACLES AND REVELATION GIVEN TO HIM, IT WILL BE UNWISE OF US NOT TO BE THANKFUL TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER IN ALL THINGS. GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD O YE PEOPLE OF GOD. 1Chro:16:8-11: O give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known His doings among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on {and} talk of all His wondrous works {and} devoutly praise them! Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; yearn for {and} seek His face {and} to be in His presence continually!
