IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING Acts 17:28 i was asked to speak at a prison open house for about 500 inmates.. as with other times, i never prepare my speech but i pray and go with whatever God puts on my heart in that hour.. on my way in the car the day of the event i was praying and the Lord gave me two things to do.. first as i got on the stage i stood there for a minute inwardly worshiping God, then when his presence was strong with me, i began to scream the name of Jesus at the top of my lungs,... each time i would wait for a little bit then i would repeat.. until every person in that place was still and staring at me.. what a fool i suppose many of them were thinking.. but i didnt care.. i only did what the Lord was leading me to do.. while God commanded the captive audience to pay attention, i began t sing a song that the Lord had put on my heart.. it was words that the Lord had told me to write down in my car on the way to the prison.. without any accompaniment, i sang with all my heart.. again, what a fool i must have appeared to be, but i didnt care, if i was going to be a fool, i was going to be a fool for Christ.. I wasnt concerned with what God was going to do with it all, but i knew He would have His way if i would just follow His lead.. After i shared a brief testimony i sat down and had no idea what the main speaker that day was going to preach.. as it turns out His speech was entitled, God is looking for a few good men to stand up in a hard place. God had used me to demonstrate the message that He had also prepared to speak that day... Afterwards many people had come forward and made a commitment to Christ... praise God.. but something else happened right afterward also.. as i was wandering around the prison yard a group of muslims gathered around me and surrounded me.. there was about 5 or 6 men and the one biggest guy, who appeared to be their leader, got right in my face and said, I have a problem with your God. this was obviously meant to threaten me, but the Power of God fell on me and in that place and His joy was all over me, so i just put my arm around that man and looked him in the eye and said, well my friend, the God i serve is a great big God, and i challenge you to take whatever problem you have before Him in prayer on your knees, and He will answer.. there is nothing that you can tell Him that He cannot handle.. then something happened to all of them at the same time.. instantly they all were broken and began to tug at me and tell me that they needed to know more about this God.. they needed to know about Jesus! all i can say is i know it wasnt my words, but the Spirit of the living God that fell in that place, and in an instant people were changed!! even though i had to go at that time, i told them that they dont need me to tell them but that if they would seek the Lord He would answer! .. Our God is an awesome God.. it has been my experience that God is great at being God all by Himself if we would just do and say what He leads us too.. to be the setup man that He is looking for to set the stage for Him to move ad He wills!! i pray by the power of the one true love.. the one who was and is and is to come.. that we will learn to simply listen and obey.. to believe God and learn to live and move and have our being in Him! .. To God be all the glory! Amen!
