IN MEMORIAM: Glen A. Larson The noted science fiction writer Harlan Ellison once referred to him as Glen Larceny for the notorious similarities between Larsons shows and cinema blockbusters, for example, Alias Smith and Jones was taken from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid; McCloud from Coogans Bluff; Battlestar Galactica from Star Wars; B. J. and the Bear from Every Which Way but Loose; The Fall Guy from Hooper. But he also gave us Magnum P.I. and Knight Rider. He was also a mentor to Donald P. Bellisario. Larson also helped to create the themes for many of his programs. Mike Post is credited with Magnums theme. The eyebrows? Pure Selleck.
